Blog

Welcome to the PLD Blog, it is great to have you on board!

My name is Phil Stephens and I am the Lead Practitioner and founder of Personalised Learning Dorset, a re engagement and mentoring service dedicated to supporting young people in Dorset and Wiltshire.

We have spent some time thinking of the best ways that we could give people who are interested in using our service more of a flavour of the sort of work we do and in addition to our established Twitter and Facebook accounts we decided it would be worthwhile starting our own Blog and seeing how it develops!

I have been fortunate enough to have worked with young people in a variety of roles, including as a Year Leader, Learning Coordinator and as a community football coach for a crime reduction charity. Each role has given me a different perspective on how best to help young people when they need a little extra support.

As the blog develops I hope to be able to share not only examples of the brilliant work we do, but also share some more personal insights into Alternative Provision and how it can make real change for young people we support.
