January 2021

Covid 19

PLD have taken the decision to apply the additional safeguarding measures as of the 5th January 2021 for the young people we work with both at home and at the hub. These will continue until the situation locally improves.

  • All young people must use antibacterial hand gel on arrival – there is a dispenser to the right of the main entrance available for all arrivals.

  • All visitors and young people will be required to wear face coverings when on session. If you have not got these at home we are able to provide them on arrival at the hub.

  • All parents and carers must wait outside of the hub when dropping off or collecting young people unless invited in by staff. When inside the building the parents and carers must also wear face coverings.

  • When at the hub young people will have designated work areas with equipment ready for the day’s activities. Young people must remain in these work areas when completing the day’s activities and ensure that they only use equipment and furniture in their designated area.

  • When undertaking home visits staff will contact prior to visiting to check if there is any known Covid 19 risk in the home. During these visits staff will wear face coverings.

  • All staff will wear face coverings during the sessions and the hub will the thoroughly cleaned after each session. As an additional measure we will be keeping windows open at the hub to ensure maximum ventilation. As a result of this it may be necessary for young people to wear thicker clothes, especially during colder weather.

As always, we ask for you to remain vigilant and notify us of any potential exposure to Covid 19 by emailing contactus@personalisedlearningdorset.co.uk or on 07561776702
